On Saturday, April 20th, dancers and community members across the United States from Seattle to Mississippi, from Maine to Miami, will engage in a nation-wide simultaneous dance event at water sites, rural, urban, remote, and public, to bring attention to the water that sustains us.

We invite everyone to come dance with us and engage in actions on climate change that will help bring us back into balance with this precious planet that we all call home.

I live and work on the ancestral lands of the Monacan Indian Nation, a Siouan-speaking tribe of the piedmont and mountain regions of Virginia. These lands were occupied by a government that also enslaved Africans and African Americans, and the legacy of this oppression continues to impact Black and Indigenous peoples today. I support the Alliance of Native Seed Keepers, Black Lives Matter, and Showing Up for Racial Justice.
