FAQS

What if I can’t attend a workshop to learn the phrases?

No worries! You can learn the movement from the videos (see above) or at the event. Just show up at 3:30, and we’ll teach you!

Do I need to have any special training to participate?

If you have a body, you can dance. No special training or experience required!

What should I bring/wear?

This is an outdoor event, so please dress in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Bring a blanket or camp chair if you like. Sunscreen and water bottles are recommended.

Is this event kid/family friendly?

Yes! People of all ages are invited to attend and participate. There were even be a few activities - like a water sensory table - especially geared to little ones.

Where exactly is this event happening?

Directions from US 250 Bypass on Pantops in Charlottesville: 

 Take VA-20 North/Stony Point Road to Elk Dr (.8 miles). Turn left onto Elk Drive. Continue straight into Darden Towe Park. At the intersection, turn left (the same direction as Lewis & Clark Exploratory Center). A small parking lot and the boat ramp will be on your left. We will be on the path next to the boat ramp.

***If the parking lot is full, additional parking and restrooms can be found on the opposite side of the loop.
